This morning at 7:08 a silver sedan cut me off at speed when I was just starting to descend Brooklyn hill road. They drove straight ahead down Owhiro road to Brooklyn, cutting me off and missing me by centimetres. I was wearing a bright orange day pack with very bright flashing lights rear and front. The road was wet and slippery and I heard the car coming from behind at speed. I think the brief moment I stopped pedalling probably saved me from being hit by them as they crossed in front of me, at an estimated speed of 60-70 kmh .
