The offending driver (who was in the left southbound lane) was approaching stopped traffic and rather than slowing to join them, they accelerated and moved, without indicating, into the flowing traffic of the centre lane narrowly avoiding the stopped car in front of them and the car I occupied in the centre lane. We had to slow down drastically to avoid a rear end collision.
